Wooden Workshop of Bára Hubená

Do you want to make a puppet or toy out of wood? Come to the wooden workshop, drill a hole in the wood, hammer in nails and take home an animal puppet, hedgehog, cactus, bird feeder or sail away on a self-made boat and be part of the ARENA Festival!
The workshop is led by set designer and scenographer Bára Hubená. The age of the participants is unlimited…

Bára Hubená is a puppeteer, toymaker and scenic designer. After studying at the Secondary School of Arts and Crafts, majoring in toy design, and at the Academy of Performing Arts, Department of Alternative and Puppet Theatre, she was a stage designer at the Dejvické divadlo for eight years. She has also created puppet sets for the Naivní divadlo Liberec, Říše loutek, Buchty a loutky, Hafan studio or Bratislavské bábkové divadlo. Since 2006 she has been running regular wooden workshop courses for children. With the public she makes toys and puppets from wood at the Loutkářská Chrudim festival, Ejhle loutka, Arena of the Forman Brothers Theatre, Pottery Fairs Beroun and Kampa, Folkové prázdniny….
