Do you want to make a puppet or a toy out of wood? Come to the Wooden Workshop, drill a hole in the wood, hammer nails, glue the fabric and take home a marionette, guitar, camera, bird, fish, or sail away on a hand-made boat and become part of the ARENA festival!
The workshop is led by the artist and set designer Bára Hubená, the age of the participants of the creative workshop is unlimited…

Bára Hubená is a puppeteer, toy maker, scenic designer. After studying at the Secondary School of Arts and Crafts, majoring in toys, and at the Theater Academy of Performing Arts, Department of Alternative and Puppet Theatre, she was a set designer for the Dejvické Theater for eight years. She also created puppet sets for the Naivní divadlo Liberec, Říše loutek, Buchty a loutky, Hafan studio or the Bratislava Puppet Theater. For 20 years, she has been making decorations and puppets for the theater company LokVar. Since 2006, she has been conducting regular Wooden Workshop courses for children. She makes toys and puppets from wood with the public at the Loutkářská Chrudim festival, the Ejhle loutka, the Forman Brothers festival AREN, the Beroun and Kampa pottery markets, Folk holidays…
